Quote

We all know about SEC stadiums. And the Horseshoe. And The Big House. And Happy Valley. And the 12th Man. The noise. The passion. The daunting task of winning in those locales. But are all those places just second fiddle to the new home field advantage champion? ESPN's Ivan Maisel takes a look at Oregon's Autzen Stadium and how it could be considered the toughest stadium in the country for a visiting team.

And he makes great points about the layout of the stadium and the newfound passion that has built up from fans in past 10-to-15 years. Even Michigan coach called it the loudest place he'd taken a team.

So what does this mean for USC this weekend? Freshman Matt Barkley has already won in some hallowed places, but this will be his biggest test yet as he faces a conference team in the loudest venue in the Pac 10. Get ready for a lot of false starts, blown assignments and hand signals from USC.

12th Man - Texas A&M continually breaks noise records..

been there - it's freaking loud -- good thing there's no "buzzing" noise like in the South Africa soccer games LOL

Autzen is by far the loudest place I've been. Then again, I've only been to 4 Division 1 stadiums.
Memorial Stadium
Bronco Stadium
Autzen
Husky Stadium

I've been to three;
Ray Jay (USF)
Citrus Bowl (UCF)
Ben Hill Griffin (UF)

I've also had the pleasure of attending a Jags' game and had a great time; although, I was like 13 so I didn't get the entire feel of the pre-game festivities that they partake in.

Yeah they set the record for loudest stadium.
Michigan Stadium can get really loud too though, not the loudest though.
